The Brief

Create a brand event that promotes the launch of the Huawei GT 2 Watch, and allows people to experience the watch's superior water functionality in an innovative way.

Mischief

To make a splash for the release of their GT 2 outdoor smartwatch, as trusted London event organisers, Huawei wanted us to create the world’s very first Dive-Thru.

We got into some meticulous physics calcs as KGA designed, built, and installed a floating shop. To get their hands on a free watch, brave souls then had to launch themselves into London’s Royal Victoria Dock, swim along to make their order, and collect their watery wares from a subaquatic hatch at the semi-submerged kiosk.

Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford took the plunge, and punters queued around the block for their chance to participate in the challenge, which drew huge attention both on-the-ground and on social media.

 

As well as creation and installation of the Dive-Thru, we took care of the rigorous H&S procedures and the smooth-running of all the public event management activity.
