The Brief
Help Monzo bring its partnership with Coventry City FC to life through a live activation that allowed fans to experience the magic of Monzo alongside their love for the Sky Blues.
As a bank who's mission is to make money work for everyone, Monzo wanted to show how simple actions and small amounts - like 1p - can unlock meaningful possibilities, from buying a football shirt to starting a savings journey.
With Uber's majestic, horse-drawn Coronation Carriage, the Coronation of King Charles III felt a little upstaged, frankly. The experience received a lot of love, and all slots were fully booked before opening. The carriage provided 45 rides over three days.
"We know how much the kit means to Coventry fans, so we wanted to do something special to kick off the year. For one day only, we covered the cost so fans could get their hands on it for just 1p. But it wasn’t just a 1p shirt - it was a brilliant way to show people that simple habits and small steps to save today can bring about bigger leaps in the future. It’s a way to show our support for the club and the community, and a reminder of what we stand for at Monzo: making money work for everyone."

Coventry City FC fans were invited to sign up for a Monzo account to unlock access to the Monzo 1p Shop - a pop-up experience where supporters could purchase the club’s hot coral away shirt for just 1p.

On the day of the local derby against Leicester City, fans queued together, paid their 1p and headed to the stadium wearing their new shirts - using the power of 1p to illustrate what’s possible with Monzo, from a single purchase to the first step on a savings journey. And to top it all off, a home win for the Sky Blues!
